Working Group V
Charge
Working Group V is charged with exploration of issues presented in Provost Diners’ 2005 annual address to the Rutgers–Newark community by focusing on three interrelated themes. In so doing it is charged with furthering the work of all other working groups in determining compliance with the standards that are the respective concerns of these working groups. In reporting on this topic, Working Group V is charged with analyzing the distinctive way the Newark campus contributes to fulfilling the university’s mission and goals.

Charge
Subworking Group 1 is charged with review of admission policies, diversity, and the development of student services and special academic programs in light of Rutgers–Newark’s commitment to opportunity for students of poor or modest backgrounds and its ethnic diversity.

Subworking Group 2 is charged with review of the opportunities presented by the urban location of the Newark campus and their use in the undergraduate curriculum.
